CUT & BUTT HINGES
A hinge is a movable joint that joins two items having rectangular pieces that fasten to two different parallel parts close one to each other and joining them and enabling swinging motion up to 180 o .
A cut & butt hinge’s main function is to carry out swinging motions for the opening and closing of doors, gates, shelves, windows and other items. A butt hinge also works as the support for the rotating objects. It is the only thing holding the door to door frame. Pulling the rotating object away from the fixed object will allow it to be opened.
Production Process
Butt Hinges Can be manufactured, mainly from metal sources, using different tools.Firstly using a sharp cutting tool, trace the the outline of the leaves and cut them out. After cutting, the alternate wings on the butt hinges leaves will be rolled to create the hinge pininsertion hole. Grab the edge of the wing with long-nosed pillars and roll it to create the knuckles. Now insert the hinge pin after attempting to mate the left and right leaves and drive the pin inside the rolls with a hammer.
Now mark the locations on the leaves where the screw holes will be drilled and complete the butt hinge by drilling it.
